This quilt features linen that I hand-dyed using natural indigo, cochineal, and madder root. Each piece is machine-sewn and then hand-stitched together using 100% cotton sashiko thread. The design is entirely my own. It has a 100% wool batting, which gives it a lofty, thicker feel.

Filling: Filled with 100% wool batting, lightly needle-punched on one side to hold it together (not bonded with resins or heat). The wool is not “superwashed,” meaning it has not been treated with synthetic coatings, and is therefore not machine washable.
Why I use 100% natural wool batting:
Durable and long-lasting — wool fibers outlast most natural fibers
Breathable and naturally temperature-regulating
Elastic and resilient — it springs back, helping prevent creases
Soft drape, ideal for quilts meant to be wrapped around the body
High loft that maintains its shape over time
Naturally flame-resistant — it smolders rather than igniting or melting
